Whoo for dashboard and blogger!

It's a bit of an iffy build (not always responsive), but it does the trick and probably is great for quick updates. (See here for an example two.)

Download 'em at Google.

Good enough, though? No - you can't even resize the window. I mean, these guys are meant to be world class computer scientists!

Bookfest 2006

Welcome to Bookfest 2006. This is a literary blog party featuring mini book reviews from 2 Lazy 2 Blog members and our friends.

Reading is a fun pastime and it is also a very useful skill. What is read often isn't as important as the fact that one is reading. When a person reads he or she turns little marks on a page into ideas, adventures, and stories. Imagination takes over and for a while the reader exists in another "place."

Have a look at each entry and you may find something interesting to read.

As I am notified I will link each entry.

Enjoy!

Five Books
by Leon

Wringer by Sudman

Wringer

The book "Wringer" by Jerry Spinelli is about a boy (Palmer) who has pigeon for a pet. All of his friends are wringers except him. Palmer doesn't want to be a wringer. His pigeons' name is Nipper. None of Palmer's friends know that he has a pigeon. But if they did; R.I.P Nipper. Palmer has to try his best so Nipper won't make Palmer's friends suspicious. This is an awesome book. This book made me feel real excited because I didn't know if Nipper would survive or not. I liked this book because this book is really interesting. I wanted to know what crazy things Palmer would do to keep his secret. In the end, Nipper goes to a place where people wring pigeons. The rest is in the book.

(Sorry Leon, I don't have internet at home so I thought if I just publish this post right now, I won't have to worry about the date and stuff. I'm at someone's house right now. Sorry! I hope it's ok.)

Sorry guys, forgot the date!

2 Lazy 2 Blog: Choose A Logo

I have made a test to help us select a logo. Have a look at each design and then take the test. If you want to be anonymous just use "anonmember" as a name if you are a member. This isn't a popularity contest among members.

Translation Tool Added To Sidebar

Stephen suggested I add the AltaVista Babelfish translation tool to the sidebar. This would make it easier for Menno to participate. I added the tool and it does work but sometimes makes a mess of what is written.

The photo shows the translation of the last post. It is, as you can see, not perfect. I usually have to play around a bit to get my comments in Men's blog right in both English and Dutch. (Btw, I don't speak Dutch).

Well, we'll figure it out.

Doei Menno

He that’s nice! Yes I want to participate, it’s great! Only there is one problem, my mother always has to be there to translate and that isn’t always possible. But I really like it and when it’s possible I love to write a little piece, so cool! Thanks!

Bye Menno

You're welcome Men,

Write what you want when you want. Just have fun!

Take My Blog Test!

I just made up a test using my Buster Tests which is being developed by Fintan.

Test creation is very easy and the options are good. There are a few small quirks in the program and I will provide Fin with some feedback.

So take my test and have fun!

Bookfest 2006 - A Literary Blog Party

We are having another blog party on February 25 to 28. Everyone is invited.

Participants will write short book reviews about recently read books or books they really like.

Length: The length of each review is up to each blogger. Try to say why you liked the book.

Number of reviews: up to the blogger. 3 to 5 is about right.

Blog: write the review in your blog on the dates listed above. You may also write it in 2 Lazy 2 Blog.

Links: Links to this blog are appreciated. Something like: "My Bookfest 2006 submission" is fine. Use comments to tell me the url and I will link to your blog.

Special Notes: Josh could include his submission in a podcast produced around that time. Men can write in Dutch about Dutch books.

This will be a joint project with Our Photoblog. The February theme in that blog is "Words and Writing".

Contest Deadline Extended

The contest deadline has been extended to Feb 20. Voting takes place between Feb 20th and Feb 25th.

FON Blog

FON Blog
A interesting Idea I wonder if it has been del.icio.us enough to be counted yet. Excerpt As you know, FON is a global community of people who share WiFi connections. We call these people "Foneros", as a tribute to our heritage as a Spanish company. In order to become a Fonero, you go to FON, to download software that you install in your router, you place your antenna by a window and you share bandwidth with other Foneros from anywhere in the world.
